This years online exhibition is expected to be the last ever online event for us, though it is set to break all records, with over 5,000 virtual attendees expected.

After this year, there will be no more SM events to attend online, ever.

Why should you attend this one ?

  • Exhibition: This years exhibition will hopefully see 300 online exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services in one single location.  Exhibitors cover all sectors of the accounting and finance sector, and include everything from software suppliers through to marketing and PR companies that serve the finance niche.
  • Strategic Seminar Programme: Over 3 days the event will provide online attendees with vast array of seminars, covering a large variety of issues related to the finance and accounting sector.  We have a number of speakers attending the event, with the highlight being the keynote event, more details of which can be found below.
  • Networking: We pride ourselves on ensuring that our events are professional yet relaxed, and with over 5000 people expected to attend the online event, SM2013 offers a large number of networking opportunities.  Networking opportunities are further enhanced with the launch of our first ever event app, which is available for both IOS and Android users.  The app will provide real time networking opportunities via the www.sm2013.ch site, and all attendees will be given access to the app 2 weeks prior to the opening of the conference, thereby ensuring networking meetings can be agreed and arrange before the event even starts!

What is this years keynote event?

Following the feedback we received from last years event we have put together what we hope will be the biggest and most well received keynote event to date!

This years keynote event will be delivered by someone very clever who is a specialist in the area of accounting practice sales and purchases.  During the course of the 2 hour keynote presentation, attendees will discover a number of issues that arise in this niche yet growing sector.  Areas covered will include, how to finance the acquisition of an accounting practice, major milestones in the accounting practice Sales process, the most common issues effecting mergers of accounting practices, and how to overcome the most common pitfalls during a sale.

A large element of the keynote event will also look at the lessons that can be taken from the accounting practice sales process in other countries, in particular the American practice sales market.
